    MOGU VIDEO & CONTENT RULES

    Your style.
    Our guidelines.

    Keep the style that performs best on your account. Make the looksmaxxing connection obvious, show your Mog Card, and follow every rule before you post.

    01

    Make it unmistakably looksmaxxing.

    Use the style that already gets the most views on your account, with a clear focus on looks.

    THE MAIN CONTENT RULE

    100% of your main content
    and on-screen text must fit.

    Your video content, including any on-screen text and captions, must clearly emphasize someone’s looks, attractiveness, features, improvement, transformation, or potential.

    If we have to stop and question whether your video fits this definition, it gets rejected. The connection must be obvious.

    Content examples

    Real posts from MogU creators. Compare the hook, the visuals, and the comments to see how each edit connects to looks.

    Content we DO want

    These edits make viewers think about their own looks. The comments turn into selfies, comparisons, and questions about their potential.

    Example 1: a close-up face shot with the text When they call you arrogant cuz they cant call you chopped.
    Comment examples with selfie replies and a disagreement about the looks comparison.

    “When they call you arrogant cuz they can’t call you chopped”

    It speaks directly to the viewer and makes them look at themselves right now. The comment section turned into a queue of people posting their own face.

    Selfie replies“I dont think so” + selfie
    @editz_motivation · open on TikTok
    Example 2: a reaction video with the text who tf are men like this catered to, with the man’s face behind the speaker.
    Comment examples including a viewer asking about their potential alongside a selfie.

    “who tf are men like this catered to”

    The video is an argument about an attractive man, so the viewer instantly starts scoring him in their head. That is one step away from wondering about their own looks.

    “Potential?” + selfie“the only good chad that isn’t serious”
    @sai.q10 · open on TikTok
    Example 3: a face shot with the text 2-3 years can’t change you that much.
    Comment examples where viewers share photos labeled Last year in response to the transformation.

    “2–3 years can’t change you that much”

    A transformation proves change is possible, which is exactly why someone downloads MogU. Viewers compare themselves and post their own before pictures.

    Example 4: a close-up face shot with the text Weight doesn’t matter.
    Comment examples with a Potential question, a selfie, and other appearance-related replies.

    “Weight doesn’t matter”

    It picks one specific facial feature and shows how much it changes a face, making viewers check that feature on themselves. People start debating the flaw, then post their own face.

    Use these as creative references. Every new submission still needs to meet the Mog Card, tagging, audience, and posting rules below. Here are more examples .

    Content we DON’T want

    These edits miss the clear looksmaxxing focus in the hook or main content. A Mog Card or MogU tag does not fix that. Rejected posts do not count.

    Unwanted example 1: an RGB-lit PC setup with the text Why do people use RGB on their PC?

    “Why do people use RGB on their PC?”

    A joke about PC lighting that cuts to brightly colored hair and beards. The colors are the punchline, so looks are never clearly the subject.

    @fypmemes_67 · open on TikTok
    Unwanted example 2: a person dancing with text about the moves they do while cooking alone.

    “The type of moves I hit when I’m cooking in the kitchen alone”

    A relatable joke about dance moves. A person on screen does not make their appearance the subject, and the MogU tag does not either.

    @hairstandards · open on TikTok
    Unwanted example 3: a close-up face shot with the text How this song got me feeling.

    “How this song got me feeling”

    The face shots are there, but the text makes the song and the mood the topic. Viewers should not have to guess that the point is looks.

    @editz_motivation · open on TikTok
    Unwanted example 4: the opening shot of a comparison with the text Same job btw.

    “Same job btw”

    The text frames the comparison around what people do, never their looks. A Mog Card at the end cannot rescue a hook that is not about appearance.

    @fypmemes_67 · open on TikTok

    These cards focus on content relevance. Every submission must also meet the Mog Card, tagging, audience, and posting rules below. Here are more examples of unsuitable content .

    Celebrity edits need the same clear focus.

    Celebrity edits and compilations only count if they actively emphasize the person’s looks. Their fame, music, movie, or show cannot be the focus.

    Why this matters: the video and its text determine the audience it attracts. MogU needs viewers who care about their looks. You can also browse #top-performing-videos in the creator Discord.

    02

    Every video needs a Mog Card.

    1. Include at least one MogU Mog Card.

      Place it where it makes sense, such as before and after a transformation.

    2. Show the card(s) within the first 15 seconds.
    3. Full-screen for at least 2 seconds per card.

      Show each card by itself, with no added text, overlays, or other footage.
